The 22nd annual Junior Fishing Derby took place on Saturday April, 23 2011. This yearly event encourages youthful fishermen and fisherwomen to get out and have the chance to do some top quality angling on the Susan River a complete week prior to regular season begins. 2011 Resurrection Derby Shotgun Begin
This video is from day a single of the Resurrection Blackmouth Salmon Derby held in Friday Harbor, Washington. 70 of the leading saltwater fishing teams in Washington line up in Friday Harbor for a shotgun start off that begins with a cannon blast. Video is shot from the Team Outdoor Line boat, which is a 28 foot Stabicraft powered by twin 200 horsepower Evinrude E-Tec outboards. 2011 Roche Harbor Derby
The shotgun start at the 2011 Roche Harbor Blackmouth Derby in the San Juan Islands. Filmed from Tom Nelson’s 28′ Stabicraft powered by twin 200 Evrinrude E-Tec outboards.100 boats with a lot of horsepower race for the blackmouth fishing grounds after a shotgun start on Friday and Saturday on the first weekend of February. This is one of Washington’s biggest derbies and is part of the Northwest Salmon Derby Series hosted by the Northwest Marine Trade Association.

Chamber of Commerce announces winners of 2010 community awards
